Remember, this is only an approximate match. If you’re in the middle of a big project I strongly recommend that you stockpile if you still can.

Once again Tales of Painters comes up with the goods! They’ve published some more details regarding the changes to GW’s paint range and the good news is that there’s apparently going to be a comparison guide in a forthcoming White Dwarf to help us adapt.

New Citadel Paints: First Glimpse

A couple of weeks ago I posted about some rumoured chances to the Citadel Paints range and it looks like there is indeed some truth to this.

Over on Librarium Online they have some more details which you can see here and apparently this is what they look like:


It seems like they’ve now divided paints into Foundation, Base, Layer and, I presume, Washes. This added to some seemingly significant name changes (RIP Skull White) indicates that this is shaping up to be one of the biggest overhauls of the range for some time.

Bell of Lost Souls have reported that GW may be about to overhaul their range of paints in March, you can read the full article here.

Hopefully the result of this will just be some name changes and maybe some tweaks to the formulas of some of the weaker paints. Also, with any luck some of that ‘Eavy Metal Medium might become a permanent feature.

That said if they remove Devlan Mud, it’s war!
