Nurgle Contemptor Dreadnought
I love simple paint schemes! This chap only took me five hours or so to paint.

This model forms the effective start of a small Nurgle contingent for use with my main Heralds of Desolation Chaos Space Marine army. I’m still working out the details but my plan is for this warband to be significantly older than the Heralds, so much so that whatever livery they possessed has long since decayed away.
Next up should be some Plaguebearers and a CSM Nurgle Sorcerer.
Nurgle Contemptor Dreadnought – WIP 1
Keeping with my Nurgle force, I decided to adapt the Betrayal at Calth plastic Contemptor for the service of all things icky.
The build itself was fairly easy as the kit is once of the simplest to put together.
The only real difficulties, if you could call them that, we’re shaving off the Corpse-God’s iconography and cutting out the sculpted helmet so that I could put in the Aspiring Champion’s one from the Chaos Marine box.
The icon on the chest is a wet green stuff (two parts yellow to one part blue) cast of the Nurgle icon from the Chaos Vehicle sprue. I elected to use a sculp as wet green stuff is very pliable, unlike the plastic original. I used BluStuff to make the cast, if you haven’t tried it yet I strongly suggest you do, it’s awesome!
I dotted some green stuff boils here and there so I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to start painting as I’m sure it’ll take some time to properly cute in this accursed heat.
Brother Elias – Dreadnought of the Dark Angels
This evening I finished the first loyalist(ish) Dreadnought I’ve painted since the old Furioso Paperweight from the early days of the second edition. Here’s Brother Elias of the Dark Angels fifth company.
Dark Angels Dreadnought WIP – 2
Spent a bit more time on this today. Think I’ll be able to have the body and at least one set of weapons done by the end of the weekend.
Dark Angels Dreadnought – WIP 1
I’m finally making a bit of progress with my first loyalist Dreadnought in over twenty years.

Still deciding on this chap’s name.
Still a lot of work to do, and I’ve not even started on the weapons!
Resumption of Normal Service
Bloody hell but it’s been a while!
I’ve been crazy busy at work (and for some strange reason, loving every minute) then at home my wife and I have been finishing off some projects that have been hanging over our heads for far too long. However, finally, I’m able to get back to my painting station.
While I’ve not been able to finish anything substantial yet, I’m close to completing a squad of Pink Horrors for my Chaos Marines to summon. Right now I’ve fully completed the Iridescent Horror.
The rest of the squad is coming along nicely, they should be done this week.
I’ve also started on a dreadnought for my Dark Angels.
As you can see, I’ve used the Dark Angels vehicle accessories kit to pimp this fallen (but not Fallen) hero of the Imperium. The plan is to concentrate on this chap once my Horrors are done.
