Ravenwing Bike Squad
The best huntsmen in the galaxy (yes, including the White Scars) are now ready for battle.
I loved painting these miniatures. Initially I was somewhat put off since it was impossible to paint the riders separately as these Dark Vengeance models incorporate parts of them into the bikes however once I got started things managed to fall nicely into place.
The Ravenwing is my favourite Dark Angels company, eventually I would like to have enough to field nothing but them in battle.

No Fallen will escape, this we swear.
Ravenwing Bike
Managed to get something done for #MinatureMonday for the first time in what seems like ages 🙂
Ideally I’d like to be further along with his two squad mates, but at least this chap’s ready for action.
Ravenwing Attack Bike
Managed to get this finished today.
Before I lose momentum I’m going to try to get the three bikes that came with the Dark Vengeance set finished. After that, I’ll almost have a functional Dark Angels army 🙂
Back to Civilisation*
We got back last week from a freaking fantastic time in the US visiting my wife’s family and now that the jetlag’s cleared (I swear it didn’t use to affect me so in my twenties) I’ve got in an hour or so of painting this evening.
Ok, it’s not much, but at least this small part of my Ravenwing force is done 🙂
*Well, Scotland.
Need for Speed
In a little under fourteen and a half hours I’ll be on a long-overdue holiday and I fully intend to make the most of it. While my Beloved and I will be spending some time away from Castle Ferguson, I think I’ll still have plenty time to get a bit of a wiggle on concerning some very delayed projects.
To this end, tonight I assembled and undercoated these chaps.
I’ve been meaning to add to my Ravenwing’s sole Landspeeder for some time and the coming break is just the opportunity I need.
I wonder what else I’ll get done 🙂
Dammit!
I’m so weak! As I’m through in Glasgow on business I thought I’d pop into the local Warhammer Store to pick up some 32mm bases.
Things didn’t go entirely to plan.
This means that my commitment to buying no new models in July lasted approximately twelve and a half hours…
Ravenwing Land Speeder
This week I decided to take a break from my Chaos Marines (yes, I will get back to my Warpsmith soon!) and get some more of my Dark Angels finished.
I guess at this point I should acknowledge that my Dark Angels are now a separate army and not an allied contingent for my Guard 😉
There is also a degree of method to my madness as I’ve a Taurox and three squads of Tempestus Scions still in their boxes and I wanted to be sure I could paint a predominantly black colour scheme before I started on them.
I suppose now I really should go back to my Warpsmith…
Spoils of War
A mate of mine occasionally asks me to sell his old hobby stuff online and as payment I get first dibs as well as the stuff that, to most people, is completely worthless.
Here’s the ‘junk’ I received today.
I’m taking some time off in May and I think I’ve just found my next scenery project 🙂
P.S. The quality items will appear on eBay soon, I think you’re going to like them…
